Here's a link to a site with (among other things) some interesting material on some of the battles in the Master and Commander series of books. It looks like it has been awhile since they last updated the site and this strikes me as indicating that these people were interested in these books before all of the interest that was generated about them by the recent movie.
The site is called: Helen's page of POB Listswain Locations and Other Maps, and here is the link:
<a href="http://web.mit.edu/hwebb/www/pob_list.html" target="_blank">http://web.mit.edu/hwebb/www/pob_list.html</a>
I know that Fred Bob has read and `re-read` the whole series, and may be `re-re`-reading them again as we speak, and if I recall, Captain Python and I are currently working our way thru them as well. The diagrams this site provides may add to the reading experience for these books, and I thought Captain Python might want to consider creating similar diagrams to illustrate his scenarios in the Tactics report I believe he mentioned that he was working on.

"I thought <u>you</u> brought the cannonballs!"
