So, are all the projects about modding PotC dead?

Is AlexusB's mod coming or not?

Is build 12 the last version?

Is the modding community dead?

Certainly not. When I have time again in about a week, the Post Build 12 mods will be updated again with the most recent additions.

Eventually, yes. It is said they are almost finished with an English version, but that is being said for several months already, so I haven't got the slightest idea when it actually will be released.

Build 12.1 is the last official stable version. The Post Build 12 mods contain a lot more mods though (and several new bugs too <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" /> ).

Nope. There's still modding going on. Unfortunately, Nathan Kell has been gone for ages now, so bugfixing is dead slow. New mods are still being worked on and released every now and then though.

I feel very much alive <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> And my desk is full with PotC mod projects. But it simply takes a hell lot of time to make mods for this already very complicated mod build.

I wished I knew. Busy with real life, for all I know. I hope he'll return some time though. Bugfixing sucks without having him around, because he knows his coding best. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

Pieter, which files are you going to update? I ask because my Building Kit is finally ready for publishing, and I want to make it compatible to the very lateast modpack. So if you are about to change any files that concern the Building Kit I'd better wait and use your updated versions of those files.

Once I've 'got rid' of that major modproject I can join the debugging again <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I think I'll be updating quite a lot of files really. I can't give you an exact list though. Would take longer to make the list than to make the update. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
What files are in your Building Kit mod?

I could try making a merge myself if you send it to me. However, that would risk me doing a bad job at it.
I could also upload all files to be added into the update to the FTP.

Thanks a lot for that offer, but I'm not sure if we should integrate the Building Kit into the modpack already. There was no public testing, and the thingy is rather complex (25 MB). Don't want to force that on anyone, especially not on those who are not interested in the land part of the game. (BTW here is the original concept, from 5 months ago (seems like ages *SIGH* ) )

<a href="http://forum.piratesahoy.net/index.php?showtopic=6068&hl=building+kit" target="_blank">http://forum.piratesahoy.net/index.php?sho...hl=building+kit</a>

I'd suggest that you make your modpack update first, and then I'll make a seperate Building Kit download that can be unzipped on top of that. Then we can see how that all works out.

BTW2 Will Screwface's islands become part of the modpack? I'd recommend that. I know that we should debug existing mods rather than adding new stuff. But the more seperate downloads we have the more different fileversions and compatibility problems we get. So including them will IMHO mean less trouble and bugs than leaving them out. Besides, the islands have already got some testing

Allright then. I'll add the new islands into the modpack. Much easier for me too than having to keep track of two different versions.

So now there won't be a separate, newisland-free version of the modpack? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

No; Unless people really do want it. But it's a lot of trouble for me and other modders to keep track of both versions.
