Issues with Build 13 install

Couls somebody give me a full list of all the weird things encountered when installing Build 13? I will try to figure out how to fix this weirdness and, if I can find the time, I will upload a new fixed version of the Build 13 installer.

<b>List of issues:</b>
- RunMe.bat doesn't move the files properly on a German version of the game
- BuildSettings.h is moved and causes confusion. Solution: Make RunMe.bat remove the version in the PROGRAM folder.
- When changing the installation directory, it adds "Pirates of the Caribbean: Build 13" to it by default. I have no idea why it does this, but it is DARN annoying! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whippa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":whipa" border="0" alt="whippa.gif" />

Please post any other issues you know of. Other things to change for the next release can also be posted here.

So, should I wait with downloading yet? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

Maybe one should replace the CONTENT of the old PROGRAM\buildsettings.h with a note "You find the settings now in the new buildsettings.h in the PotC rootfolder". As a further hint for those who look in the accustomed place.

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> Pieter, Why did the BS.h file get moved?
I would like the file go back to its org. position, but only if it
is not to much trouble and there was a good reason to move it
in the first place! Another one is, why did the file get split up? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

There were a few discussions on this. I think the overall feel was that for quite a while the buildsettingd.h file had got pretty cluttered - mostly with stuff that people would not ever change. So it was decided to make a simpler buildsettings.h file, mostly for new and inexperienced players - and move the more detailed settings to the internalsettings.h file. Something like that.

The reason buildsettings.h was moved to the root folder is because(again for new people) it is easier to find when you explore your PotC directory - its available on that first layer.

I'm sure we will all get used to it <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

@Pieter: ref the "- When changing the installation directory, it adds "Pirates of the Caribbean: Build 13" to it by default. I have no idea why it does this, but it is DARN annoying!"

I dont quite follow - in my install("E:\ProgramFiles\Bethesda Softworks\Pirates of the Caribbean") after i install the build 13 - all that stays the same? It doesnt add 'build 13' to any of the directory names?(i'll go check again to be 100% on this)

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" /> After reading about all the problems evolving with Build13 Final, I'm glad not to overinstall on Beta9!
However, I've not had the problems with Build13 Final as reported! Mayby it has something to do how the
game was installed in the first place!? I copied the beta9 folder and than overinstalled Build13 Final.
If you install the stockgame and than Build13 full, maybe something is going amiss? So everything ever
published like 12.1 and all the betas after that are in my Programfolder. Hope somebody sorts out that
Mystery!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

Build 13 does work fine, but apparently the installation process acts oddly on German versions of the game. If you have a German version, I recommend you install Build 12.1 first. It should work after that. I think.

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" /> Maybe I should have a go at the clean Install and see what happens,
since my game is the english version! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Mine is the english version, and I installed build 13 over a fresh install of the game. As far as I can tell, everything seems to be working. Can't see any differences (yet) from beta 9...

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" /> Same here, no problems so far. The only thing is, when installing Stockgame,
I have to run the game for a while otherwise the config file won't run. But that is an old
issue. Now I'll start the game in ernest and will report bugs. Hope fully there won't be any!!!
