I really want this game to succeed.. when the rest of us get our hands on that game, we really should get rid of those bugs. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> Come on, <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" /> you guys managed to make that cabin bug in PotC build mod.. and if a bug can be made it can be unmade too. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> I hope CoAS isn't as buggy as AoP is said to be. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> We really don't need another failure. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" /> If CoAS just has a very minor amount of bugs then it shouldn't be that much of a farce to get rid of.. let's think positive. By the way that Sea Dogs had more bugs than PotC IMO.. I couldn't join with the pirates because of the bugs. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ko" border="0" alt="ko.gif" />

Yes, there were a bunch of small bugs that were never corrected, but for the few really nasty ones a patch was released.. Without the patch, indeed the Pirate main quest couldn't be completed, and with, the game is too easy.
I'm still looking for a non-patched game. Both my old CD and its security copy died, and when I bought a new one it had the patch included.

Man, I had the latest patch and I couldn't even join with them because of bugs.. I was able to only join with the npc that recruited me but no pirate flag on me ship or friendliness with the pirates.. DAMN! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />
 
In Seadogs Pirates aren't unified so even when you're a pirate yourself you are attacked by others. But you can unite most of them under your rule by playing more of the Pirate main quest.

You can raise pirate flag by betraying the nation you're serving (for exemple : attacking HighRock Fort with the Principio at the begining of the game. Don't tell me you never tried this?)

Anyway, you'd automaticly 'join the pirates' during the pirate main quest after whiping out one of the most important pirate faction. How many of the main quests have you completed?
 
Oh.. so THAT'S how I can join with them. I think I'm gonna install Sea Dogs on this new rig after all. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
 
Be aware that the pirate way is the most difficult... I would adwise you to first try to complete the English, it's by far the easiest - and it's funny. Then the French one, which is interesting too. (you'll met someone... I don't tell you who. )The Spanish way is more complicate but will change your perception of the game.

Then you can try other games in which you mix different main quest, that's very interesting as well.

Hm... Weren't we talking about COAS before?...

game was supposed to be released here in NZ on the 15th but that changed to the 28th, apparently it still hasnt gone through classification yet. don't know if i can wait that long...
