jack sparrow quest problem

i got a problem on the jack sparrow quest. me and that agent girl. are looking for that diamond theifs partner on turks island. but i cant find him. i think the quest are bugged or unfinished becuase the spy girls says we should go to turks island over and over again even when we are there.. and i cant ask anybody about that diamond thief. nothing in the jungle either. any tips??

also many of the jungle roads are not working. like a invisible wall or something..

I'm afraid you've hit a trap. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />o)
When you got back to Spieghtstown and you and the agent split up to search for Brock - YOU should go and find him.
Stay away from the shipyard - that triggers the trap. (I am looking at a mod to give players a chance to get back, but that will be later)
When YOU find Brock, the quest will continue.
 
okay. heh but i have allready gone to the shipyard, so i guess i will have to start again?

hehe so want kind of a trap was that? that agent chick did not want me to find brock or something?

she only gave me a tip she heard around town. about that prison ship sailing to turks.

traps are okay. but a warning or a hint about the trap would have been a good idea. or that you atleast so you know you have walked into a trap

i have have come a little futher in the quest this time. But now i cant find the

east indian trading company offices to get my payment for being a escort.

is this another trap? i have tried almost every door in port royale.
and the there is no office to right of the gates..

also about that special compass i need. i found no information about it in that little town where i found brock.

yea that girl that gave me the third part of the map told me i had to ask around town..

Go to the Tavern and meet Cutler Beckett - join him and you will EVENTUALLY get the compass.
 
um... if that trap thing's a serious feature, i don't see why. it's intentionally breaking someone's game.
 
yea that trap feature needs to be worked on. you should be able to get out of this trap and continue the quest. it should only be a setback or something.

so i will have to wait for the next patch to contiune the storyline?

I guess I was'nt the only one having problems with the EITC officers building-I found it but it transported me to San Juan <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> was so confused, but now that you say it will be fixed in the next patch 2morro', I'm satisfied!!!!! thanks again guys! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
 
It looks Short Jack Gold has a rather interesting way of hyjacking buildings for the EITC.
He takes a building on Puerto Rico, teleports you there, then teleports you back to Port Royale afterwards! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />

To Short Jack Gold: Maybe it'd be better to just clone that location and place it at Port Royale like the other locations. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rolleyes:" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" />

I answered that in the PM earlier.

I prefer this method as (when the files are uploaded correctly <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rofl" border="0" alt="24.gif" /> Which I forgot to do last time) you can only get in, or out, when the quest program calls for it. (As testers have found - they can't get in till everything is correct). The transfer is instantaneous so there is no time delay in the game.
But I <u>will</u> look at it later when I have finished the quests.

Yes and you ship remains in Port Royale.

Though you can move it to San Jaun by going to the shipyard and going into the buy ships/cannons screen.

Then you can continue to sail. But the EITC house is still empty with noone in it ^^

Because the locator (the missing file) is not there, the characters cannot be loaded. Hence empty room.
 
okay the new patch is out.

nice patch by the way! smuggling is back <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

but i cant find the EITC office in port royale. i tried everywhere.. i think.

where is this side street? at the town center? or the port? i am so lost right now..

so please tell me where it is. like step by step for a noob kinda thing <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />o)
 
ok, right as you enter the main square/town/centre from Redmond/Port Royale port, turn right-there should be three buildings before the street ends and takes you to the next part of the town-search the building on the right, as the other buildings are not used, and there is the EITC building. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />
 
okay thanks for the help.

well i tried the building you talked about. but all the three buildings by the side street were unused.

i had a similar problem before with a pawnbroker at turks. but i tried this with a savegame that were made before the patch... so i will start a fresh game a try agian.
 
Dont bother.

Seems the patch screws up that part ^^

Originally you were supposed to be "warped" into the building the moment you get near. That part doesnt seem to be working after aplying the patch. So there is no way to get to the EITC office in Port Royale

(yes i started a new game after applying the latest patch and i dont think the experimental mods have anything to do with it)
