Last NKPreBuild13 version

You need WinZip or WinRar. Open the file and extract it on top of your PotC installation. If you have a "use folder names" box checked, all files will be dropped in their proper folders automatically.

Can you give me more exactly instructions? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" /> Alvast bedankt

1) Install Pirates of the Caribbean
2) Install Build 12
3) Install WinRar (www.winrar.com , I think)
4) Open a Screwface file and press the Extract button in WinRar. Then point it to your PotC installation directory and extract the whole bunch.

I hope that works. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

hahahhaah.. sorry haven't been playing potc for a while.
sides my reskins aren't that good.
i did a number on the mongol guy, made him wear the blue corsair suit with red and white stripy socks, also gave him a gold breastplate strapped with leather. but nothing much else i can do since i can't model.
mostly the best i can do is just cut and paste other bits here and there.

Hey, there is no requirement to alter the model to make new skins. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />

So, no need to think you haven't done anything! Share if you feel you want to, there is no requirement for that either, but I am sure it is better than you may think yourself. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> Absolutely! Leon, that sounds really great - love to see him! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Pls, pls, pls,help! Can i get this pre build 13, and fleets thingy somewhere? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Everything that was in the Pre Build 13 was added to the Post Build 12 Mods. Except for the fleets mod, because it's unfinished and didn't work entirely yet.

<b>THINGS THAT GO BOOM IN THE NIGHT:</b> Hey All! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> I've been toying with the April 22nd and like a lot of the added features, especially the new startinge screen letting you choose a few character modes and ship types. Also the buying ammo for your officers as a group makes the powder/ammo mod far more workable but I think it should be available at any full sized store instead of just Redmond (that I saw).

The pwder for ships I have mixed feelings about. On the one hand I love detail and the game needs more cargo types I think but as it stands I feel it's excessive space-wise, taking up far too much cargo space on your ship. You can go into the cannons.int and reduce the requirements by cannon type which alieviates the problem somewhat but still...

Maybe assume you get the required amount along with the ammo you buy at no extra cargo loss (the ship's magizine is a seperate section not figured into the cargo area say) and you only give up space for extra. This could also become a generic smuggler item too! Gun running was a certain no no in colonial areas! They didn't mind ship captains carrying what they needed but unautherized persons dealing in weaponry on a large scale might not be looked highly on.

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whippa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":whipa" border="0" alt="whippa.gif" />

BAHAHAHA.....actually I like this suggestion very much Jason Maffettone......I agree full heartedly.....there is no sence smuggling now, you haven't got enough crago room to waste!

Still like you detail is fun, but I think we are getting into a micro management thing here....I have been pushing for a "Gunner" and Powder Magazine ever since coming here. This guy during Ship's Actions, lived in this room curtained off by a heavy weighted "water soaked" curtain of canvas to prevent sparks entering his precious domain.....this is where the powder and shot was stowed. Usually ( lets talk about the english because it was more common ) these orphans from the streets of London, were taken to sea to serve aboard vessels, this gave them a purpose in life and a home if you could call that home. They were called "Powder Monkeys", or even "Ships Boys" and they ran shot and powder back and forth during engagements. But it was the Gunner, who was usually a senior seamen, usually a crack shot with a cannon, and who was trusted with the replenishment of the Magazine, because he was only answerable directly to the Captain or maybe the First Mate in this important task.

Now I would love to see a change in the build to include this noble position, and his duties would be to buy all the stuff, or replace would be a better term, like powder...balls...chainshot or langridge......grape or shrapnel...and maybe even ships weapons for the crew....cutlasses and sidearms or muskets. You would have to check with him regularly, to ask him about your levels of this stuff, like we now check for flag status or Food and Rum rations with our officers. If you run out of say powder.....at sea.....you either boarded right away or fled until you aquire more, same with other types of ammunition.

This is my outlook or Idea of this concept of course above, but I believe a lot of others, including Pieter who refers to this character often as a "Weapons Officer" [ to much Star Trek that one I think ...hehehe ] would like this , because they have often asked about newer officer types or petty officers or warrant ranks to be added to the build.

What do you think ? good, bad, or indifferent ?

I can imagine that the powder takes too much space in the cargo hold. That will need to be changed. I'll contact Maximus about it.

Just in case you don't know of this feature: On your ship, there is a powder magazine in your ship hold. You can take the powder you have as goods aboard your ship out of the powder magazine and give it to your officers as items. This enables you to buy powder for pistols in large quantities and you don't even need to go to Redmond for it.

I would want to see this weapon's officer added to the game. The problem is how to get the character aboard your ship and into your passengers list as officer? Once he is there, we could handle his features through his dialog file. I want to get this feature modded in, but it won't be very easy... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Why not use the "Gunner". He'd be in charge of such things and he already hangs out down there.

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huhh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:k" border="0" alt="huhh.gif" />

AH!...I see what Pieter means now.....this "gunner" would be on the ship Permanent like, he would be like an officer but not a "passenger" that you keep shuttling out of one of your three other officer slots.....what we need is to get him to be like a "shop keeper", but on the ship......

Pieter...what if we could use the window, or door in the crew cabin.....or better yet the hold.....could we not make a "locator" in one of those doors, that we could go into the "magazine".....maybe use the dirty sword smith on Q.C. as "gunner" I'm trying to thing of a dark, dirty place that would double as a magazine.....maybe something newer, something Maximus could supply!!

I'm going to try to make fleets toggleable--
<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->
What does that mean

Nathan Kell made a mod where there would be fleets on the sea that sail from point A to point B. However, these fleets would not be visible on the worldmap. This mod was never entirely finished and because it caused some bugs, it was eventually not added into the Post Build 12 modpack. Making it toggleable means that you can turn it on/off in BuildSettings.h. However, Nathan hasn't been very active lately, so I don't know if it'll get done.

This is OLD! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />
