Leave the ship on sea

I think its usefull to make some options in interface, ex. if ship of my companion too damaged and i dont need this ship, its good to be if my companion come back to my ship and his ship go sunk,cuz if we been attacked, his ship will be sunk with my companion. Any ideas?

Or leave the ship in the port... If it does, i don't know how...
