as was making my way through the old topics (3 years seems oddly long ago, doesn't it?) and found out that there used to be elections. i'm bringing this back up. here are the rules:

1. Any pirate may nominate any other pirate.
2. A pirate may nominate himself/herself.
3. Last months winner may not be nominated again.
4. The winner will get this great trophy.
5. The `Runner-up` will get this not so great trophy.
6. In the event of a tie, there will be another poll to determine the winner between the two/three tied pirates.
7. When this is over we will not delete the subject like last month, it will screw up peoples post count. We will just lock the post and let it drift off into the endless abis of useless posts.
8. (this rule removed until it is found that it shouldn't have been removed)
9. If you are nominated, but don't wish to run, just say so and it will be done.

remember though: no voting until the 10th!

(by the way, i need to find appropriate trophies. the old links didn't work anymore)
 
hmm... i tried to add you, but you didn't show up. i'll see if you do when a second nominee is added.

by the way, i edited my first post.

i nominate pieter boelen, not as moderator (as that would be against the rules) but as ex-modpack-compiler.

really? he's usually third on the posts a day list, you know. i'm second, and salty's first. although we do swap places sometimes. anyway, i'll add him.

EDIT: i told you to wait until the 25th with voting! i'll see if i can fix that by removing and then re-adding thomas as an election.

there, fixed it. i even made it more obvious now.

the reason why i won't allow this is because later nominees would miss possible votes. besides that, if votes are made before the voting time, the one who got voted would have a head start, which wouldn't be fair.

apart from that, there's about 30 of them. and that's just the skit's. and i've watched only half of them.
 
Did you watched Funny side of history? I guess that was the name of the movie, since it was translated on Croatian

oh, just saw your edit. i think you mean 'history of the world, part one'. that one wasn't by monty python, but it sure was funny. that's the one with the mighty joint, right?
 
I don`t know if you can find it on youtube... it is really an old one.

no, I can`t, I saw them all long time ago and I have new comp with no mic etc so I have to buy them separetly. For now I have to be satisfied only with watching <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mellow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":|" border="0" alt="mellow.gif" /> ... but I remeber from the scenes.
