Now, I'm back from Ireland ant it was great. Had a lot fun. Great Nature and great People. Had also a lot <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> !

Just a question any of you like Tabletop Games? I played GW for years (still play it but only small Skirmish Games) and have some Miniatures from Rackham. Just wanted to show you these if you don't know them. I own them all and I'm not sure if I'm going to use them for gaming or to build an Diorama (including a Ship) with them. Here they are from one of the offical sites. I will post you mine when they are finished (but don't expect them soon):

Black Troll (also not in the Pirate Box (is sold in a small box himself):

The next one isn't exactly a Pirate (he's a Dog of War) but he fits perfectly to my Pirate Goblins. So I'm going to "hire" him tomorrow.

Firebrand Ogre:

I will paint my Miniatures diffrent though. Their painting Quality is great but I disagree with the colors in some points.

And one last thing. I'm not doing any advertisement here (I just like those Gobbo Pirates). If someone wants to buy them now do it, but they are all made of metall and quite expensive. So don't blame me. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/pirate2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":p:" border="0" alt="pirate2.gif" />

Oh and a very last thing. I wasn't sure in wich Forum to post. So if I have posted in the wrong one, feel free to move it in the right one.

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />
Cool! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="8)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

Hey, I think I know some of those guys! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_eek.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_eek.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Looks like a fun game, how does it work?

Lets just say it requires several hours, A LOT of money, lotsa dice and rulers, and a long attention span. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

My bro is really into this, he collects 40k more though, he's got a huuuge ass Imperial Guard army, lotsa tanks 'n stuff.
I've got quite a few Lord of the Rings version minitures, a pity there aren't any rules for a pirate style battle(that I know of), that'd be awsome.

Gunner is right! It's a classic Tabletop Game. Two players fight against each other with their Forces. Every Miniature can move it's distance and have his own abilities. It's not easy to explain all the rules (it would take to much time and space). But you can get the Confrontation rules for free from the net.

It isn't that expensive like Games Workshop, because it's a Skirmish game (in GW you command whole Armies). Here, this Miniatures shown are enough to play. But it's still expensive.

You need a table with Terrain to play on (and a nice Terrain costs a lot money). Or you can build Terrain yourself (cost a lot time and some money). Then I'm sure you would like to play with painted Miniatures (so more money and time to spend for the painting). And then comes the next Problem (if you still like the game). You get addicted. You start collecting other armies.

DonkeyPirate,

Have seen the figures that Wargames Foundry has?

<a href="http://www.wargamesfoundry.com/main.asp" target="_blank">http://www.wargamesfoundry.com/main.asp</a>

The extensive line of pirates they have looks like something you might like as well. I've never played the games these figures are made for, but I have spent many an hour putting paint on them.

Ireland, huh? lucky.... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_eek.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_eek.gif" /> Those trolls look remarkably like my crew! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> Ummm... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> Off galavanting again, it seems. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

These are fun, DonkeyPirate, thanks! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Very nice. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

im a a very big fan of WH40k but only play it casualy, i have a few armies, Black Templar, a Catachan Imperial army, a couple of chaos (Khone and Tzeentch) a custom Eldar army, 2 orc armies, Blood Angels, and im working on my Tyranid army aswell as building the playing fields now.

oh and gunner if you went with warhammer fantasy they have stuff on doing naval battles and from there you can do pirates. infact this has inspired me to want to do so! now if i only had a spare $1000 to blow on mintures <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Thanks, didn't knew of them. Will surely buy some for painting and dioramas.</b><!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Thanks right back atcha, I've never seen the figures you're showing us before. I like all the detail in the models they make. For those who aren't familiar with these, it might be good to point out that the pictures do not show the figures at actual size, they're probably a third or a fourth of the size in the pictures above. That is what amazes me about the people who sculpt these, the amount of detail in these tiny little figures....

You said it.
<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cheers.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="cheers.gif" />:
Rum to both of you.

Am I remembering right, do Long Drong's crew have a halitosis attack, or they smell bad or something? I remember they attack with the bottles that they are holding. They would definitley fit in around here.

GW figures are amazing, I have never gotten any of the WH40K figures like Spaz, but I have a stock of WH Imperial troops.

Your flag is cool!

Thanks! I found it on the net. Took me half a day to make a nice flag animation (I'm not very fast).

I can't remeber the old rules but yes they do stink. Because they make their own Rum and fart a lot because of it. So they stink a lot.
I the new rules they get just an second attack for their Pistols.

Oh and here ere some other images of the Pirate Goblins.
(I hope this aren't too many images for this thread now)
