Lost City Of Olmec

I have the complete map of the lost city of Olmec... Anyway was wondering if anyone could help? I can post it here or email it to someone... I just don't want to spoil anyone who hasent got this far. What is the best way to do it?

I don't know if you are running into something that just occurred for me with the Lost City of the Olmecs; I got the complete map, but there was no coastline on the map, only a direction that it was North of a certain city. Is this what you encountered? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />
(I realize that the name of the city might not be important, but, as you suggest, I don't want to wreck anything for anyone who hasn't gotten this far in the game.)

What I did was to follow the coast North of the city the map mentioned, and sailed to a feature on the coast, like Blood Point or Dagger Blade, or my personal favorite, Skull's Rock, <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bow" border="0" alt="bow.gif" /> and before I landed I would save the game, land and look for the landmarks to see if I could find the city. If I didn't find it I would sail to the next coastal feature, park the ship and try again. I found the city this way at the second coastal landmark that I tried. Game time being precious and my health failing, I went back to my save game and sailed to the right landmark and picked up the 50 G's. Oh yeah, and advanced the study of the mysterious and extinct indigenous native population for the benefit of the scientific community, <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" /> ...right!

Hope this is helpful. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

One thing I've gotten into the habit of doing while exploring is: to hit pause while I am scanning the area with my telescope looking for landmarks, <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" /> this extends the food supply and the crew morale while I am hopelessly lost. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/oops3.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:ops2" border="0" alt="oops3.gif" />

By the way, welcome to the site! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> Colorado eh? Are you familiar with Monument or Palmer Lake? That used to be my neck of the woods way back when.

In that case, try

1) Due East of Villa Hermosa at the bay of Honduras

2) South of that at the corner of the bay of Honduras near the "B" in the name on the paper/jpg map.

Aye,sounds like yer look'n fer cape reef <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

Cap'n Toast, how ya be, matey? Is it that I haven't been in this forum much, or have you been away? If the latter, welcome back! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/keith.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":keith" border="0" alt="keith.gif" /> If the former, well <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/blush.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:ops" border="0" alt="blush.gif" /> shame on me! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />
