(I do have anover one that is not bronze cannons but a silver gray metal cannonsi just dont know to show it or not)

that or it is very odd dirty Wood
 
heh. i think someone either used a metal texture as a bad mimic, or that's historically accurate plating. ships where being plated to prevent woodworms from eating the hull in the 18th century. maybe the late 17th as well, but i doubt it.

you could be right there, but i'm not entirely sure. my books don't mention an awful lot about cannon types.

I don't suppose you also did some work on the blasted figurehead of the ship? I can't stand the bloody thing <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> . It doesn't do the rest of the ship justice.
 
well, i DO know that there where more cannon types than the ones in the game. but changing the current cannon system has proven to be either extremely difficult or impossible.
 
That's unfortunate, was thinking it'd be cool to have better armament management, atleast install different guns in different arcs like long 9lb for bow chasers and 12lb carronades for broadsides or something like that.

Do you do the coding for the build mod?
 
yes, we've been thinking about that idea.

not really. i only know how to code in soundtracks for locations. i don't know how to create i new special place that has a unique soundtrack though, but i can do just about anything with the excisting locations.

Changeing the figurehead to look like it is part of the ship but was wondering what dose any one think of the pink planking?

The wood is a little red..

Maybe it's mahogany? Tough wood, would make a fine deck. Expensive though
