Seems the search is currently broken...

Here's the scoop - I'm now to the point in the main quest where I have to sneak back into Oxbay. This is all well and good but...

Anytime I go anywhere near oxbay and go to sea from the world map after about 3 seconds, the screen blacks out and I'm transported onto the island automatically. I'm inbetween the Outskirts and the Lighthouse. I gain a few players and there are pirates everywhere trying to kill me. I'm literally stuck because all the doors are locked and I cannot progress even after killing all the pirates.

Anyone got a suggestion other than start over?
 
Maybe - is that the French guy you meet in the Tavern?

lol I had him tailing me for HOURS. Had no clue where I had to go. He eventually died in a battle I think - atleast I know I don't have him hanging around anymore. lol
 
It sounds very much like you have started the Claire Larrouse Quest who is female.
 
Thats the one, you have initiated the Claire Larrouse Quest somewhere along the track. It's profitable to complete the quest,especially if you dont have much gold. Just follow the dialogue & if you shouldnt have any problems.
 
Well, I dunno where I'm supposed to meet them!

I went down to the Pirate island and when I moored at port I couldn't fast travel as it said "Something is about to happen". Nothing happened.
 
The reason you couldnt Fast Travel at Pirate Island is cause you will have the Artois/ Nigel Blythe Quest that will start once you go through the main gates.

You meet Claire Larouise at Isla Muelle, if you are at Oxbay with her just follow the dialogue & complete the Quest.
If you have any problems with it, I'll post a Claire Larouise Quest Walkthrough for you.
 
Point about Clair(e) Larousse: In Build 12, it's a man, in the Post Build 12 mods, he's been replaced by the female Claire Larousse. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

For this quest, you need to go to Oxbay.

The problem here is that if CybrSlydr did get Claire killed, then she won't be there to give the dialogue to complete the quest.

To CybrSlydr:
I wonder if it means that your game is now broken!
Try following your "in-game" quest log entries, as well as the walkthrough posted on these boards, and try to finish the quest without the Pirate.

I do however think that it won't be possible, and you might just want to load to a save where she was still alive and in your fleet. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />
