Can anyone provide a translation or at least give me an idea of what the song "Main_theme.ogg " is about?

that's the song playing in the main menu. it is also used in prisons, the alcove, and in some small caves.

it's one of the few original songs i decided to keep in the game. i changed it so that it would replace the one in the main menu, the alcove, and the numerous jails in the game...

in the PotC musicpack the main theme is a song used in the places i mentioned. i figured the places would be more or less the same according to the title.

If that`s the right main theme you`re talking about, present with BUild13 installed, in Resources->soud->music, than it `s most likely not Russian. Seems rather to be Spanish.

Still I`m not sure about the language, but I`ve learned Russian and it doesn`t sound like it.
Perhaps, it`s some dialect. Doesn`t sound like pure Spanish either...

Coming from Akella, we assume it's Russian.

But if it isn't, can anyone in any language translate it for me?

It sounds more gaelic, scotish or irish to me. But it's hard to say.
It could be a dialekt from Lord of the Rings or some norwegian or finnish dialekt, too. But it sounds not spanish to me.

i think it's one of the Russian dialects...there must be more than one in a country that big!
the reason i say Russian is because the music sounds WAY too russian styled to be much else. the farthest off you can be from right is saying Scandinavian....that's the farthest off you can go. i say it's one of the lesser known dialects in Russia. look at Italy. Sicillians speak a different style of Italian than the ones from the mainland, and even the mainland Italians differ from state to state...heck, forget states! it differs from city to city! looking at that, i wouldn't be surprised if it was indeed Russian...

Maximus says it is not Russian.

He thinks it might be Celtic.

Yeah, me too. I think it was BIGdaddyLOU.
But as I remember correctly he was born in Anaheim,California.
Don't know if speak celtic but you're right, in his signature there where some celtic words and the ship name "Celtic Blood" in it. Maybe he can help.
