Map troubles

Michele

Landlubber
I don't know if this is a technical issue or not, but could someone tell me where I could find the main quests map? I have logbook updates but I don't ever see the map. Its not in items, or under the Map List if I hit the M key. Does anyone know where it is, or where I can find it? Is this a technical issue?

If it helps, I downloaded the Super Mod.

Also, I was playing as a French Captain and returned to Guadeloupe to collect on a mission, but there was an English fleet blockading it. I defeated the fleet, but got a random message from the Governor in the middle of the battle, made up of characters and writing I couldn't read (there were russian characters, and other things as well, I don't think it was an in game thing). After I defeated the British, the Governor was gone. Did this happen to anyone else, if so what can I do?

At first welcome Michele!

The problem with the map is simple, it wont appear in yer mapsection. Ya have to read the description of that map that gives the key where the location is. When yer char reach's a certain level ya will get the second part of that map that gives the full key.

The thing with that dialog appeared to me too, but only one time so i didnt noticed whats going on.
I think ya get a message of the fact that this nation has its maincolony on an other island now. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
Where to find the gov ya can find in rumors at tavern.

Thanks for the welome, and the quick reply.

Unfortunately, I already have the second part of the map. I have both, Beatrices and mine. But there really no clues as to where I have to go, or what I have to to do. It only gives me the description of what the maps are, and who gave them to me. Is this a technical problem, or am I not looking in the right places?

In any case, if I can't find the map, then is there a way for me to continue the quest without it?

The two parts will bee combined when both in yer inventary.
The description is all ya get. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/whistling.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wp" border="0" alt="whistling.gif" />

It has the names "Blaze" and "Beatrice" written upon it, as well as a strange inscription: <b>"Look down from the northern saint and one up from it's beautiful namesake"</b>.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

I have never seen any map in that list in mapsection. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
