Master and Commander Mod..

Sorry for asking so many questions on the forum, but I'm trying to make a Master and Commander mod. I'm trying to retexture the frigates and corvettes, add sounds from the DVD and retexture some of the Character models... I'm new at this and I'm finding it tough to do. I really enjoy making mods but my tech learning curve is high right now. Is anybody else doing this or have done it? and is anybody interested in this sort of mod?

Well, if by Master and Commander Mod you mean Napoleonic Mod, then yes. A lot of people are in favor of this, and a number of people have been working on something similar to it for quite some time.

Why don't you explain what you are working on more and people can see if they can help, etc...

OK.. I repainted the English Frigate to look like the HMS Rose (Surprise) and was going to take some sounds from the Master and Commander movie. Also they have a BBC TV series called Hornblower that I'd like to take sounds from. Sounds are orders being shouted to the crew "WE SHALL BEAT TO QUARTERS!" etc. I was thinking of reskinning either man6.mg or man6_1.mg in the M&C Captains uniform. The deck crew are going to be repainted with british Naval uniforms (or French if you prefer). I also have the red and white ensign that would replace the british flags.(it would be great to have a large flag at the rear of the ship for the country colors)

I'm going to reskin the Corvettes next, but I'm looking around for some better textures. I'm not that great at painting from scratch, but am getting better with practice...

I'd love to see some of the great modders get involved with this.. as they would probably do a better job than I....

M&C Music.

Hi CannonFodder,

You should take a look on the download section, is there already a M&C Music MOD that replace the original music with the M&M sound track.

With Build11 there is already a lot of Royal Navy Uniforms, you must acquire the letter of marque with english and scaling the military hierarchy, when you take a new grade (ie: Captain) you can buy the appropriate uniform from tailor shop.

Also in the download section there is a great intro for POTC that replace the dysney intro with a new one that has the M&C sound track.

I adore M&C every new M&C mod are wery welcome.
