Maya installation problem

Hi all,

I've located the mod tools and installation has only mildly successful.
When I try to install Maya 5.0 (Unlimited), I receive a message saying "findkey.exe has stopped working."

The program installs but, when clicked, the exe file does not launch Maya. I am never prompted to enter any key.

For the record, I'm using Windows 8, and Maya 5.0 did install successfully when I was using Win7.

Maybe Maya 5.0, which is several years old, has some troubles with Win 8 or isn't supported any longer...

I just checked and it still works fine for me on Windows 8.1. I'm even running it from an external hard drive.

I've always tended to follow the same procedure as installing the mods, by installing Maya 5.0 outside of Program Files, and I've had no issues with it.
Also, make sure you install Maya 5.0 and then run the included crack.exe to get the license details.
