Some of our modders have been added as characters into the Build mod. These modders include Fred Bob, Pirate_KK and me who are used in some quests. Also there's some dialog references to other modders. However, I think that it's fair to add a bunch of other modders as well. Especially considering that I'm now being added to just about all new quests, while Nathan Kell only gets some mere dialog references. It's becoming Pieter-overkill. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />

Anyway, here's some suggestions:
- Skull as replacement pirate leader on QC using Sir Christopher Mings' Skull character model (suggested before)
- Catalina the Pirate: after all, we actually have a Catalina model
- Kieron and Meigger, because Sir Christopher Mings recently made models for them as well
- Petros with his own 50Grey1 skin (he used that as his avatar)
- High Sea Lass with her own 33_Blazie skin (she used that as her avatar)
- Sir Christopher Mings with his own model looking like huber_eng with black coat and black hair (I don't think that's released yet, is it?)
- I also think Nathan Kell should be added as a character
 
Go ahead and make it! The suggestions I posted are based solely on what character models we have in the game and what references there already are and should be expanded. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/razz.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":razz" border="0" alt="razz.gif" />

In the Beatrice Quest I would like to have it that according to which modder you select in the Turks residence room - so you take a variation route in the quest.
I think it could be interesting.
(Modders could even make input for "their own" suggested story line)

Modder Characters are now in Turks - random characters used for the moment so modders can select/make their own if they wish.

LOL. In any case now that we <i>are</i> adding the USA, they should be given a purpose as well once we finished actually properly adding them.
 
I wouldnt mind having me own character. In fact if anyone can skin it i can send a pic of my face, and one with a type of outfit i would want. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Another suggestion, how about a new multi-character tutorial with several of the modders? Sort of assigning one character to teach you about each thing, gunnery, fencing, navigating ect and that character is based on the modders specialty(mine for example would be Gunnery after my work on CannonFX <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />)

I have now played the Beatrice Devlin quest until I got to the room full of modders and made a screenshots. Looks quite fun to me. I changed some of the models used, as you might notice. Nathan Kell now uses "searcher_navy" (he reskinned that model), Petros uses 50Gray (his own texture and forum avatar) and Thomas uses his Henry Morgan model (that way at least it's used for now).

For some reason, some of them are mute. Which is strange because they all use MODDERS_dialog.c, but for some it does work and for some not. Ah; that sounds plausible. In that case it's probably because standard characters are some sort of LAi type that doesn't allow talking or something like that. Don't worry, I didn't forget... After finishing my additional quest, I will install Henry Morgan at Port Royale.
 
I'm not worried. I just gave him a temporary purpose (I wanted to see if the model worked). Probably Thomas will be wanting another model for himself later anyway. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
