Modding Goods

I posted a similar question perhaps a year ago, but now I cannot find it. I hope nobody minds.

I would like to alter several trade goods, replacing the stock goods with others without importing new pictures (I'll use pictures that are already in the game). The idea is to replace cinnamon with powder, ale with muskets, and leather with musket balls. I'm trying to get more goods that make sense as contraband (which is why slaves will be on my list later, assuming I can track down a suitable picture). The only problem is making it so the goods appear in the store menu windows with the correct pictures. I'll also need to get one of the pistol pictures for the muskets (unless someone knows where I can get a picture that looks more like a musket...).

If anyone can walk me through this, I'd appreciate it!

Okay, I've figured out how to alter the name of the trade good, its description, and its characteristics. The only problem at this point is finding the correct picture numbers with which I can mod the pictures.ini file.
Right now, I've copied the picture numbers for grape shot and am using it for "musketballs," and the picture for cinnamon is being used for "gunpowder" (which was easy, since I simply replaced cinnamon with gunpowder in the first place. I need picture numbers for a pistol (to represent "muskets") and a portrait for an african character (to represent "slaves"). Does anyone know what numbers need to replace the two remaining trade good pictures?

The African "slave" character is somewhere in the goods.tga.tx file; not sure about the number. I think it's 27. Does that work?
You will probably need to add the muskets manually to the goods.tga.tx. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

There's no real reason not to add them as new goods--no need to restart or anything, and you can reuse pictures...
Neat project!
