I was wondering if anyone has heard of any good modern or WWII naval warfare games around?
(Other than the submarine ones, that is. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" /> )
My brother used to have one long ago, called Fighting Steel. I think it was on the old DOS format, but it was a great WWII surface naval game. It had all the major ships of WWII; most battleships, a lot of cruisers and some destroyers. Sadly, there were no carriers to my knowledge. You could play as any of the 4 countries (US, England, Germany, Japan) and you could fight any of the other countries you wanted, regardless of historical allegances. It also had an in-game editor so you could design your own engagements. And if I remember correctly, it even had multi-player capabilities. I was wondering if there was anything like that available now.
