Mateys, here is a little gem i discovered a few days ago. Basically its a medieval-esque RPG-strategic-action title with a very strong and realistic mounted combat system. Its shareware until you hit level 6 and delivers loads of fun. It already got a feature article at rpgdot.com.

Currently in beta stage, but well worth downloading:

I played it awhile ago, it's pretty good, but it's not worth the money they are asking yet, still needs alot of work, but the fighting system is pretty good, I wish they had it in Morrowind.

I like de fact ye can edit your charcter features,from color O' yer hair te width an depth O facial features,include'n chin,jaw,eyes,an nose,ye can make some really cool features,ye can play as a women as well ,fer de female types <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" />
 
Just got hold of the demo last week and bought the licence this week. The horseback combat has to be seen to be believed, very fluid motion indeed. The range of weapons is huge as are choices of armour and clothing. Some battles can reach 50 per side and these look very spectacular and give you a good feel for the chaos of medieval combat. Love the tournament fights and the ability to play as a horse archer. At just £7 this game is well worth the money even in beta just because of the unique combat styles it offers and the open-ended gameplay. Go try it..............

I know the feeling. Great game, by the way. The only thing is that I keep losing the Red team-Blue team tournament fights, when I won all the training stuff (including the champions) without a single loss?
 
Aye ,de tournaments are tuffer fer sure mate,Joust'n wid lance is hardest fer me,took a fair bit O'practice te improve with all weapons available,but ye really need the practice cause oppenents are really tuff in the quests. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
Heh, lowering the difficulty level from over 90% helped as well.

I would agree that lances are difficult, I like 2 handed swords better.
 
I really like the option if yer on foot,ye can mount a riderless horse if one comes available,prefer ter fight on horseback cause O' de advantage ye 'ave <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
The annoying thing is if an enemy and an ally are on horseback, and are the last survivors apart from you, they go to the other end of the battlefield and run around in circles, hardly doing any damage at all to each other!

Aye CC,thar be diffrent levels,as ye reach new levels ye add points te yer skills an abilties which in turn allows ye ter upgrade yer, armour ,helmets,weapons an horses,ye can play up ter level 6 in free demo <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
 
I payed for it, and all I can say now is WOW <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> Its really good in the actuall battles, though some of them may be a bit difficult.

Tips:

Dont miskate sea raiders for river pirates, they are far better and can easily thwart you

Get yerself a good horse if thats your style. A charger is probably the best you can get, though it requires a riding of 4.

A sword of war is the best 2 handed sword you can get

Dont get yerself knocked out before the battle's over, it'll be disasterous for you if you do

Black Armour is expensive and heavy, but offers the best protection on the battlefield, and riding a horse with them on makes you nearly unstoppable

Train your soldiers wisely, you dont want too many archers and no swordsmen!

"Troublesome Bandits" have large amounts of fairly well trained soldiers, and sheer force can wipe you out, no matter how good you are
