Music Problem/Question

Hey there. First off I downloaded some of the music mod packs for POTC New Horizons. Master and Commander is working, but when I select POTC music or Cutthroat Island music it doesn't work. Only M&C is working.

Second of all, what music format is POTC in? I'd like to add my own music. I can't tell what format they are in as the music player program that I'm using on my computer(AVS) is the one responsible for most of my video and sound files right now so everything is labeled as and AVS file.

I assume I can just add a music file and label it appropriately such as church,sailing etc. and then put it into a new folder. Will it be selectable from the game's options like the mod packs are?

I'm starting to think all my POTC New Horizons music is all messed up and intermixed. Maybe I didn't point the music mod installers to the correct location. Can POTC be installed with multiple installs? The reason I ask this is that I would like to just delete my music folder and start over by pasting in a fresh copy of the default music. Then I can start again at it. As it is if everything is indeed all a mess I don't know what is default and what might be new.

I'm also using the latest build mod which looks like it adds some new music files. So if I can, I'll install POTC in another location on the computer, install the latest build mod, then copy and paste its music folder over my other install's.

Is it possible me hearties?
 
Multiple installs is certainly possible; just copy your game folder.
Hmm... music packs should be working, but I didn't recently test them.
The files are OGG-files.
 
Well I replaced the music with the default and it was fine. Then I removed it all and replaced it with just POTC music mod so that there is nothing in the music folder except POTC mod music.(Even though the music was selectable in game I don't think it was working properly. I would change the music several times between M&C, POTC, Cutthroat Island and the only music it would play would be M&C and maybe even a little default music)

So once again, I removed all music and placed only the POTC music mod in the music folder. Right now I'm lucky if ANY music will play. I'm not getting any music at all. What's going on?
 
Musics changing several times between different music pack is weird... Are you sure that this is really what's going on? Because apparently some musics are defined in several music packs (towns music for example, or the Cuthroat Island main theme for the main menu). Otherwise, we need to check that. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> I'm downloading the music packs right away.
 
I'm not sure what's happening. I went back to the default music but it still decides on its own whether or not it wants to play. Usually if its playing like in a town, if I go and adjust volume or something in the options menu, when I return the music stops.
 
Of course the various music packs have different filenames for their tracks; like the PotC music pack has a "POC_" prefix.
You need to remove that if you want to replace the standard music with it.
