i reallly like the build mods but there's only 1 thing that i still want to see in the build mod
That the bloody musket is carryd on the back and not like a pistol its bloody annoying to me
it looks like a small mod but i want to know is this possible??? thank you already <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> see ya

ps: i'm back in the community <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> Drinks on me <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wavarr.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":warr" border="0" alt="wavarr.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wavarr.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":warr" border="0" alt="wavarr.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wavarr.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":warr" border="0" alt="wavarr.gif" />

I dont believe its possible. Where the gun is attached is built into the game. The gun model itself could be 'offset' from the atachment point, but it would look seriously funny with the various moves of the character, as a persons hips tend to twist different than their back. It would look worse. But since you can't really change the attachement point ... thats pretty much where it hangs.

Just a thought here... when you have a musket attached to you, it would actually move with your hips movement (you are pushing the lower part of it with your butt). So personally, I don't see any obstacles as to attaching a musket to the hip as with any other gun (only behind the character naturally)

We know how to add new pistols to the game. What we don't know how to do is add completely new types of weapons with different attachment points and different animations.

The musket was added as a new type of pistol. Either accept that the animations might look a bit odd, or remove the musket from your game until some time in the unforseeable future when we can do new animations and appropriate attachment points for new weapons.

I'm not saying it wouldn't be nice to have a totally working musket. I'm saying it's likely impossible. But if someone wants to work on it, hey, go for it.

does the game know the diffrence between the back the heat and so on if so i think i can help <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/type_1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":nk" border="0" alt="type_1.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />

This is pretty impossible to acchieve, I'm afraid. So far, we have not been able to attach 3D models (a musket) to a newly added locator (on the back). And making new animations is something nobody has ever done either. So this is, at the moment, not possible. Not until somebody figures out how to do it, but even if it IS possible somehow, it'll be ridiculously complicated, I'm afraid... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Maybe treat it like armour and have skin authors make a musket skin where the gun locator is on the back? Just have it automaticly switch to it like when you equip armour.

On build mod Pre 13 th musket isnt even there <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

well at least on my copy its not <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" />

To fudge_dragon: Sounds interesting. Might be possible. I don't really know how though. There's still a bug with the armor models though: When you change an officer's skin and give him armor, when you do another transfer with him, he'd sometimes revert back to his original skin. Rather annoying.

To Gushy: Uh? I'm quite sure it IS in there. Maybe you haven't encountered them yet though. They're pretty rare.

No i encountered them the GM file isnt there <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> nor TXT

The GM file isn't there? I am quite certain they ARE in the Pre Build 13 files!!! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

What mod are you working on? Also: For all I know, you don't have to remove the Pre Build 13 to be able to work on your own mod. I work on my own mods too, but I base them on the Pre Build 13.

i'm not verry happy to hear its no possible but as the commodore says it whould give more realism <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />
