I see you improved the deck texture to, which makes a world of difference.
I do wonder if we should keep a version with the old stern as well?

Oh... how about using the Boussole in the escape from Oxbay with French ship scene in the standard storyline?

Excellent idea!

About the older versions we might use it as frigates for the XVIth century?!

About the modifications i did, it consists in tweaking the manowars periods as i explained,

* I changed the periods for the Aop/dutch frigate model ( it has a XVIth/XVIIth century vessel appearence and it doesn't fit for the eighteen century)

* I changed the status of some unique ships I to see wanted in circulation, for example the Interceptor or the wicked wench...

* I added some ships we can't release as they are, (one or two ships from COAS + original AOP models but with the transparent cabins)

So my ships_init.c isn't clean for copying at all, so I think i will copy the values for the manowars and the new ships of the line in a stand alone file ^^'

I´m slightly confused...by the XVIth century, you mean 1500 to 1599? AFAIK, there were no real frigates until the middle of the 18th century, starting with the danish "Vidae Orn" and some french ones in the early 1740s.

And congrats to Zareth and Thomas for a great looking model!

For the Surprise and Boussole, that's Inzane (original model), Merciless Mark (original modifications), Seb (subsequent modifications) and ZarethPL (final modifications). <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

I haven't got the chance to touch this thingie yet <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

Yeah, we need another name on the credits list for her. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

@ Bava > Frigate_6 model is used as a frigate ingame but for me it looks like more a fleut or a light galleon to me ^^

As for our older Surprise models, if we can't use it as frigates for the early periods they might fit in a type of light vessel of some kind for those periods?!

ooops... sorry, guys, didnt know that... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ph34r.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ninja" border="0" alt="ph34r.gif" />

@Seb

Inzane´s Surprise model was based on the L´Unite, a french corvette build in 1794, so I don´t think it will fit in the earlier periods.
Something like <a href="http://www.maritima.se/sitecore/content/Myndigheten%20SMM/Verksamhet/Samlingar/Arkiv/ArchitecturaNavalis/Ritningar/Bild%2057%20o%2058.aspx" target="_blank">this (upper pic)</a> would be perfect, though.

Indeed it won't fit <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> The upper plan is very nice in all cases <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Late XVIIIth century battleships are uploading with their stats, you'll find them in my folder of ftp <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Thanks Seb <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/biggrin.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":D" border="0" alt="biggrin.gif" />

Look forward to having a look at them <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bow.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":bow" border="0" alt="bow.gif" />

Downloading now; cheers, mate! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" />

Thanks a lot ^^ they're just generic retextures but I think they will enhance the ambient and the historical feeling for the last periods ; and I hope they will also reflect the standardisation that appeared in the naval building at the end of the XVIIIth century <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Just had a look at them; looks good. Don't see that much difference between the Victory and Endeavour,
just a slight colour shade difference, but good anyway. I like the red one most.
In any case, they'll be added along with your other Manowar modified values. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Indeed, as the Endeavour was a special ship, I tought some little texture changes was to be made so we could make a difference between the two ships ^^ As I didn't have time to reinstall TOOL at the moment I don't know if after my computer crash it still makes error and beeps on model, so I didn't try to add supplementary details.

I might do, but i guess it is not the moment with the addition of flag locators on all ships ; it's not the moment to swap models on every week if we wanna make an update ^^

I already updated all Endeavour-based models for the Different Flags mod in my game and did the same for your ones now too.
If you make any modifications on top of my files, things should be fine.

BTW: Do you remember what model modifications you made to HMS Bellona? That's the only ship that beeps in my game.

Normally, I only added a figurehead to include a small difference with the AOP Battleship

Alright then. Because I'm wondering what we should do with her; I really don't like beeping ship models.
Do you think you can try adding that figurehead again? Or maybe one of our modelers can fix her up?

If I have time tonight i'll reinstall tool, with the details pack, so I will be able to try again and if my computer still messes things up I guess we'll have the possibility to ask one of ours <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
