Mysterious Stuff

In the Music Directory of POTC is the "YOHO" Song and a instrumental of "YOHO".

Does anybody know what these Songs have been for ?
@ Modders : Please put them somewhere in the Game (like by winning a BIG battle)

Sound directory: \RESOURCE\Sounds\NATURE

windmill.wav and watermill.wav are not used, too. Are there any locked objects/graphics in the game which these sounds are used for ?

Locations: <img src="http://static.4players.de/premium/Screenshots/42/ec/38595-medium.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

Where is this place ? Maybe it is cut from the game and only in a beta version of POTC. But perhaps its only locked and covert in a directory ?

Perhaps there are other "locked" graphics and locations ?

Hello im no expert but i believe that that is PotC before disney rushed the developers to finish early. I think they had to take a lot out of the game and why the game is so buggy.

I think those music files might be used in the Russian version. They can be added to the game though by editing RESOURCE\INI\ALIASES\music_alias.ini though.

Where'd that screenshot come from? I've indeed never seen that location before. Looks nice! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />
I don't think it's anywhere in the files though. People would've found it before now if it were there.

I have actually posted that screen 2 years ago now, and had the same question like you have. But it's never been implanted in the recent POTC version, supposly it had to be in seadogs 2.

Nice location! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/ohmy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="ohmy.gif" />

Yeah, nice location.

Are there many more? Are they available for modding? Great for the New Islands if someone could mod them in.

Cheers <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

It seems like all we have of that location is that screenshot. No model, no textures, nothing. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />

I could add the YoHo songs to the taverns. I think they would belong there the best. If you want me to do that, I will. Unless I forget, that is... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Yes it's a great idea. But only the instrumental-version of YOHO, I think. The vocal version is not so good.

Edit:
Can anyone write a mail to akella (or help me to write) and ask them where these screen come from ? (with the screen as jpg. file)

I sought a bit in the Game Directory but I don't find something new :-(. Only this 2 places : <img src="http://1qayxsw2.cybton.com/POTC/place1.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

<img src="http://1qayxsw2.cybton.com/POTC/place2.jpg" border="0" class="linked-image" />

Hmm I think these locations would be used somewhere in the game. But I'm not sure. I don't remember at the moment. Can anyone tell me ?

the first one is on oxbay between greenford and oxbay. killed many a rabid moneky skeleton thingy there.and i know the second one i just can't put a name to it at present sorry

Jungle07 is on Redmond somewhere, I think... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Is there anyway to get these screen shots to use as maps in the game, or even to print them off to use on your desk, I find especially with the new Build and Islands I have not the clue where anything is now. Tried to take a "printscreen" shot or save screen shot, but hasnt worked so far...thought I might save the screen for the map and print that off at least?

For me the button druck (paintscreen) works very well. Some F-Key (I don't know which...I think somethink like F7) makes a screenshot (and saves it in the game directory) as well. To get these pictures (look up) download the gm viewer :

Thankee Matey, I be beholdin tew yer.....and owe you one

You can make screenshots in .tga format by pressing F9 (I think; one of them F#-buttons anyway). The file will be stored in your main PotC directory. You can also make a screenshot by pressing PrintScreen and then pasting it in a program like Paint.
