Name changing

This question has been asked before, but after 20mins of hunting, i couldnt find it again, so:

When you do missions under a letter of m. you get promotions and your first name changes depending on rank.

well.. now i have a really silly name and would like to change it, but can't.

so... HOW DO I CHANGE MY NAME?????

What mods are you using? Build 12? Or the Post Build 12 mods?

Changing your name:

In Build 12: Enter your firstname and lastname into BuildSettings.h, then press the N-button ingame to change your current name to the name in BuildSettings.h

In the Post Build 12 mods: Click your name in the F2 > Character screen, press Backspace, then type in your new name and confirm with ENTER. This should also work if you have a title from a country.

hmm strange.. I've changed my name in the buildsettings I think, anyway my name is not Nathiel... maybe it's a bug?

the name is Schout-bij-nacht Hawk. If i change the name in buildsettings and press n. the last name changes, and the first name is correct on the 1st f2 screen, above inventory. but in all other screens - character screens and dialogue, the first name is Schout-bij-nacht. and i'm not even Schout-bij-nacht anymore, I'm a commadore. maybe i'm stuck with it.
