Post a screenshot from a PC game, then have others try to guess what game it is.

Whoever answers correctly posts the next screenshot.

The rules:

1. It MUST be a screenshot from a computer game (duh!)
2. The game can be as old or new as you like
3. If the screenshot is from a mod, the mod must be fairly well-known

I don't play these types of games so I have no idea. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> But I'd venture a guess... "Grand Theft Auto?"

Hint: It's primarily a racing game where you can literally wipe out the competition. It wasn't well received by the gaming public due to poor controls and often-problematic graphics.
 
Nope. The "Burnout" series is console-only. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Hint: Gamespot erroneously claimed this game copied the format of another game, even though this game was in development long before the other, wildly popular game was even on the drawing board.
 
i think i've seen the game which was supposedly the base for the 'copy'. no idea which this one is though.
 
Hint: That wildly popular game has now become a series, soon to see its third PC version. It has also been released for the x-box.

i'm terribly unfamiliar with games. just like movies, in fact. i might recognise the odd unknown game though.

that's more or less like the game i was thinking of. i once saw a demo, but i really couldn't remember the name.
 
Hint: One of the few games containing an uncracked version of Sony's wonderful Securom. Pirating this is a waste of bandwidth.

Not by a long shot. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/24.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":rofl" border="0" alt="24.gif" /> The tower desing indeed seems something like from LotR but the tower ITSELF is not from LotR. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />

Btw this tower has one more similarity to LotR: It has a powerful dark mage inside. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/8q.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":8q" border="0" alt="8q.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/piratesing.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shock" border="0" alt="piratesing.gif" />
 
Could it be something from Morrowind?

@Morgan: That series of games this one (meaning the one I put up a screenshot for) supposedly copies is the FlatOut series <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />
