Need help with Cutthroats!

I installed cutthroats! on my new pc using XP, i was surprised to find that it worked, installed both 6.0 and 7.0 patches, game crashes randomly to Desktop, it appears to be the Cutthroats.EXE file which is causing it? any pointers? should i try reinstalling and not patching at all? thank you.

dunno really how to help you, but I had same problem myself. Cutthroats are pretty much buggy game so reports are saying. On my computer it sometimes runs perfectly sometimes with problems and I always install with patches, so really dunno how to help you <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> , anyways there are some more expirienced players so I hope that they shall answer more effectively...

thanks anyway. I tried reinstalling and no patching but also eventually crashes to desktop. Hope to find a way to reduce crashing.
