I just downloaded potc and it played fine before the mod was added now i am getting stuck on the start board before the first person speaks with you. I can not get past that part can anyone tell me the possibilities of how to fix this? I donwloaded it to the potc folder should it be elsewhere???
 
No, is should be download to the potc folder. Did you download the build before Pieter's postbuild mod? The build must be installed first. If that doesn't help, what exactly happens when you speak to him?
 
downloaded the build again and it again freezes up the game and I was unable to speak with thefirst character. I added only build 12.1 to the program
 
What do you mean with "unable to speak with the first character"? He comes walking to you to talk to you, but no talking interface appears on the screen?
BTW: In Build 12, after you start a new game the game will "reinitialize", which means it'll do a bunch of required calculations. This will pause the game for a small amount of time that, depending on how fast your computer is, might become a large amount of time. Maybe that has something to do with it? If so: Just wait until the game responds again.

going to try that right now and give it a few mins, i dont even get to the point where the other char comes out the game kindsa pauses so im gonna give it another try now brb with results
 
In case that doesn't work, I advise reinstalling the game and then installing the 12.1 build. After doing those two things start a new game and see if it works. I have found that if I install things and then try to go back to previous versions, it can get hopelessly screwed up.
