I've uploaded <i>ships_32.tga.tx</i> file into <a href="http://pafiles.com/potc/Kazeite/" target="_blank">my ftp folder</a> which has stock <i>Pearl</i> icon replaced with real <i>Pearl</i> icon. I think it's working correctly (well at least I get it to show when I sail the <i>Pearl</i>), but I humbly request help in testing whether other ships get it too or not <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

(<i>ships_32.tga.tx</i> goes to <i>Resources/Textures/Battle_Interface/</i>)
 
Absolutely love what you've done making the <i>Pearl</i> come to life. I'd be happy to help out. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
 
Should work just as fine as the previous icon, shouldn't it? I think it might show up for Lineships though.
 
That what I am curious about. Does it show for every lineship, or for <i>Black Pearl</i> only?
 
Didn't the Black Pearl show the black ship icon with <i>white</i> sails at some point? I do remember something like that. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
u'm i don't think so, i've encountered the base or the black pearl with different white sails and sometimes weathered sails and every time it's got the lineship icon so i think your set. As for the game's original black pearl ship type the icon for that is also the lineship. so i think we're all set. ( or at least on my computer i don't know about everyone esle. with 14.7+ my game is doing funky things.
 
hey kazeite, i don't know if you meant to do this or not but i thought i'd ask is the wicked wench supposed to use the new icon?
 
That icon should appear only for the Black Pearl (at least that was my intention): all ships which have refship.BIPic == "BlackPearl" && refShip.id != "Lineship".

Just out of curiosity, was there a version of the wicked wench with the inside of the cabin viewable, like the black pearl?
 
i thought it always had. it think it's been based off the black pearl with the special cabin.
 
Not as far as I am aware. The viewable cabin isn't all too great anyway. Kazeite once made a better version, but has been unable to put it into the game properly.

Really? what was wrong with kazeite's model? Cause I am playing with his I got off the ftp, viewable cabin and all and I thought it was great! No problems with it or anything, that's why you got me second guesing myself now... hmmm.
 
A version made by Kazeite with a cabin? You sure? As far as I know there are two versions with a cabin. One is a modification of Kazeite's model done by the Russians that has a cabin added that Kazeite wasn't very happy with. The second is a version made by Kazeite with a newly modeled cabin included, but he never released that, because <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/index.php?act=findpost&pid=194835" target="_blank">[see here]</a>. That being said, he refers to that model as Black Pearl 2.1 and there IS a Black Pearl 2.1 on the FTP. I better check it out. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wacko:" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />

Edit: Will you look at that! There IS a modeled cabin on Black Pearl 2.1! Only it's in a second model folder and not in the normal place. I'm going to try it in the game! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/danse1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":dance" border="0" alt="danse1.gif" />

Does anyone have a problem with the bow waves on the Black Pearl 2.1 as described in <a href="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=10462&st=0&p=194835&#entry194835" target="_blank">this thread</a>? Apparently Kazeite still has that problem, but I cannot replicate the problem using the files he put on the FTP. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wacko.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":wacko:" border="0" alt="wacko.gif" />
