My brother came with an idea that seemed interesting.

What about we have wounded crewmembers during the sea battles. Instead of having only casualties and survivers. We can make it happen so that during a battle there will be wounded crew members that cant fight anymore in the battle until receive medical supports, so they will count as casualties, but, after the battle, they will be counted as survivors.

Is the idea clear?

I know, it will make the game very complex in this subject, but it was just an idea ^^

Not realy ...we already have or had something on similar lines as his/brothers idea.
Can't remember what version it was in though, might still happen. The crew members of the boarding party would stop fighting & sit down till you spoke to em after the fight and sent them back to the ship........something like that anyway.

I did say "similar to his idea".His idea may well take a lot more work, and thats if anybody has time to do it.

I just get scared whenever I look at code - any time I touch it, interesting, far less than desirable things happen <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
 
Well it doesn't take much to screw everything up, so I tend to leave it well alone.
 
this isn't exactly a new idea. i've seen it presented twice before. the doctor, a new type of officer in b14 a6, would recieve the role of bringing them back up to healthy status.

Thats what i told my brother when he told me his idea. There was a doctor between the officers, so indeed that idea had some reason after all. Why do we have the doctor if not to heal the wounded crew? so the number of crewmembers would rise while the doctor heal them after the battle.

i suspected that this idea was already mentioned, after all, the game is becoming quite old already....old, but still the best, thanks to the modders <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />
 
here are a few guys with ideas but no one from these guys have an idea to realize it.
Try to code it. All Coding Modders here must learn the coding.



In AOP is a doctor too.

A Doctor with a high reputation = small losses at Seabattles.
 
We indeed think of this before and I think it's a VERY good idea that I would really like to see make it into the game. But adding it is probably not so easy, which is the reason why it hasn't been done yet. Coupled with that fact that, like usual, we have <i>waaay</i> too few coders to actually work on it. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/modding.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":modding" border="0" alt="modding.gif" />

yo ho ho is right. If nobody ever tries, it certainly won't happen. If you do try, we'll be there to help you. Most of our modders didn't know how to mod either when they got started.
