We call ours "chavs".

(I'm an Englishman)<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Being ignorant of most things related to English/ Western Euorpean pop culture, I thought a "chav" was a well defined sub-culture in England, similar to American "wiggers" who emulate other ethnic groups by wearing imitation or replications of the ethnic groups clothing and jewelry. Not just plain city sclickers.

No no, you're absolutely right. Consider yourself knowledgeable of many things <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

The sheer scale of 'chavs' in poor, urban areas has lead to the generalised term, though. Unfortunately, there are chavs all over the place.

Its Frederick William Herschel. Although I've always known him as William Herschel. I thought adding "Frederick" would make it harder. The last name though was a dead giveaway.

so, i'm the one who's right? i wouldn't have guessed the answer, actually. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

It's kinda weird, apparently he is known as both:

Sir William Frederick Herschel

Sir Frederick William Herschel

Pretty confusing if you ask me.
