Ran Build 11 very successfully with no problems. Then loaded build 12 over the top of 11- downloaded build 12 and textures together with updates and European patch. Ran for a short time after reinitialising savegame but when tried to board ship CTD. Then deleted everything and started again with a fresh install of standard POTC. Loaded B12- would not run at all.
Has anyone managed to get B12 to run with the UK version and if so how did they do it ?<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" /> Or should I wait until the problems have been ironed out before trying again Or should I try something else? Any help greatly appreciated
 
I have an European version of PotC (UK, I suppose; not sure though; bought it here in the Netherlands and there are only English subfolders). Anyway: I did seem to be able to get Build 12 to work properly (though I didn't do a very thorough test, so there might still be things that do not work). I did it by first making a clean PotC install, then installing <a href="http://www.myhostingplan.net/piratesahoy/build/packages/`build11-standard`.exe" target="_blank">Build 11</a> on top with all `Euro-support` turned on and after that, installing Build 12 without any `Euro-support`. Hope this will help you guys... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
This bug is still being worked out, so if you have troubles, please be patient... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />
 
A summary:
For some people, this approach will work:
1. Install Build 11, check "European Version"
2. Install Build 12, do _not_ check "European Version"
3. Open POTCProgramBuildSettings.h, set EURO to 1
4. Try the game out.

For others this will not work.

As Cat says, we're working on resolving the problem.

Damn, I should have read this topic. However, if you're going to hat the Build 12 announcement thread on the forums every subcatagory, you should have this warning too.

If you get the most recent upgrades, yes, I believe this has been resolved.
