Officers loyalty

I am wondering if not paying wages to your crew lower the loyalty of your officer ?

Also I have noticed that the loyalty of my officers always decrease and never increase, although they do fit to my level of honesty.

Does anyone knows what factors affect the loyalty of officers ?

Basicly - the good officers like you to be sissy
Bad officers = good pirate
Neutral officers = bug = no matter what you do their morale always drop

Besides fixing of the neutral officers morale the morale of the good officers should be fixed somewhat too. It has absolutely no logic someone to attack you and when you defend yourselves and capture him the morale of the good officers to drop.
