Hello All Smugglers <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bounce.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":b:" border="0" alt="bounce.gif" />
I have uploaded my "new" ship Cutter.zip file to ftp.
" You can mod, change, and repaint her as you like" said Lando after i had won Falcon from him
in poker game. When i saw Falcon first time i understood what he meant. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
And now you can do it all too. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Lado said to me.

Pretty! <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Love that weathered look. Well done.

Cheers <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />

<img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/hi.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":gday" border="0" alt="hi.gif" /> All

I know this is an older topic but I just noticed that in Interface, spyglass and shipyard, there is no distinction between this one and JVM's Cutter.

Shouldn't a distinction be made in "Common.ini" ?

Perhaps we should make sure there is a distinction for ALL ships. But we need to come up with some names to be able to do that. How to distinguish between Galeon1 and Galeon2. for example? We could give them the same names ingame, but I don't like names like "Galeon 1" or "Lugger CT2". Actually, I don't like names like "Frigate MM" either... <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

"Galleon 1" isn't very good, but there's no real difference between "Gaff-rigged xebec" and "Lugger CT" except that the first would be likely to be used in real life. I have no problem with "Frigate MM" but "Lugger CT2" should probably use something other than a number.

Descriptive names could be used when there is a difference in the design/performance of the ship
Number names could be used for ships identical except for paint jobs.

With stock ships like Galeon1.gm and Galeon2.gm, descriptive names like "Galleon" and "Heavy Galleon" would be best because there really is a difference in stats.

A totally new ship based on the Corvette.gm model, with highly modified rigging, and light frigate stats was given the descriptive name "Light Frigate".
Another version of the Light Frigate with only a re-skin, was named "Light Frigate 2"

Sloop1 and Sloop2 would be OK because the difference in stock sloops is only in the skin.

CT and MM are modder monikers so that is a slightly different matter.
