One question about Rys Bloom and one about 42 pound cannons

1. I think, I read somewhere, that there was more to Rys Bloom in the latest build that just hiring him. If that's the case, please tell.

2. Vanderdecken sells 42 pound long guns. They have a shorter reach than the usual 32 pound long guns, so what's the advantage about them?

1: There's a short, boring quest. Rys Bloom's dialog indicates that he can help you. Jean Filaut, the shipyard owner in St. Pierre, has a dialog option where you ask about a job. In the absence of anything better, I put the two together. Have Rys Bloom in your shore party when you talk to Jean Filaut, then you can get a job doing some minor work on a boat under construction. Three days pass, then you talk to Jean Filaut again and get a small amount of money and XP.

2: Being heavier, the 42 pound guns presumably do more damage.
