1. Will there be female and male pirates / skins for the hero?

2. Will you be able to become a pirate hunter and get rewards for catching them?

3. Is there a max number of ships that you can have in your fleet as there was in the original Pirates!?

4. Is it possible to mod the time that passes for each second?

Sort of, I don't know if you literally can become a pirate hunter, but if you are successful at catching them, you should get a good rep boost - which is good enough of a reward. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
3. I think the maximum number of ships has been changed from eight to four. This came out a few weeks ago in a preview.

Maximum number of 4 ships sounds disturbing... I'd preferred that there would be no limits, or that the limit would be dependent on the reputation of the captain (like: 2 ships for the beginner, 4 for journeyman, etc. to 12 or more at max). Well, perhaps 12 would be quite a lot, but I remember always having trouble in the original with the limit of 8 ships).

Unlimited number would be not a good idea but i really like the idea that you can have more ship on the different difficulty levels.
