paid in xp?!?!?

when a merchant offers me 36000 gold for a (invariably) cannonball run, i completed the drop and the other merchant gives me 36000 xp for my trouble


it's nice and all, but i could do with the cash!


silehard also paid me in xp for busting those two guys out of oxbay, but he used to pay me in gold, so something has happened along the way

I'm jumping a LOT of levels, lately. THOUSANDS of XP each for killing off pirates on boarded ships. I'm not complaining, but it's gotta be a glitch or something, especially since it's so shocking a change from my recent games...
