how do you uninstall/reinstall patch 6 as mine has gone terribly wrong and now i cant start any new games. there are no ships on the picture screen and the game freezes.

If you have a backup of a previous version you can reinstall from there... if you dont you have to start over from the stock game Im afraid
Or re-extract the file on top of your game version and overwrite everything. Might work, might not.
