Period potc

<snicker!> I considered that, hee hee... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/happy.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="^_^" border="0" alt="happy.gif" />

Hey, if I managed the miracle of making Blaze's but feminine <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> then is should be easy enough to make Danielle's but masculine.

Just let me know if you want me to do that leg transplant. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/poet.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":hmm" border="0" alt="poet.gif" /> Where's that bone saw again...? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dev.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":d:" border="0" alt="dev.gif" />

<img src="http://www.ganotherapyusa.com/extras/pink.gif" border="0" class="linked-image" />

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/w00t.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":woot" border="0" alt="w00t.gif" /> That would be cool! Nathan, whaddaya think?

Which one should we go for, the breastplate, or the last one with the vest?

If we do the last one with the vest, we can try something like this - Clement's arms (for the rolled up sleeve look), Danielle's legs (for the tights and boots look), the torso of the French Captain (for the vest), and Hawk's head I think for the best "hair".

Can you do that, Lass? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/flower.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ty" border="0" alt="flower.gif" />

Arms do not convert from male to female, it seems. Even when I position them carefully they go insane... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/sad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":(" border="0" alt="sad.gif" /> Must be something differing 'tween female and male skeletons.

Mind you, arms are tricky to transplant between same-sex models too - they tend to end up showing gaps and so on, so if there is a model with suitable arms it is far better for me. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

Plus, a model with 4 different parts would end up using bits from four different textures... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/huhh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":eek:k" border="0" alt="huhh.gif" />

However, given the right model, I can fairly easily tweak the arms and such to make it look like bare arms (or vice versa), similar to my upcoming Ronald - captain.gm have got gloves on, whereas Ronald.gm has not. It all depends on the number of vertices available to play with. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

And I have just done the opposite too... I'll shortly post a couple of pictures over in the New Character thread... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" />

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" /> Waddoo I know? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

:g I'm sure it won't matter about the arms/sleeves. I was just thinking that it would be nice. Blaze's arms in the sleeve will be just fine.

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" /> COOL!!! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/cool.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="8)" border="0" alt="cool.gif" />

Actually, Researcher's chest is pretty good too it seems to me, if you delete the front pocket and the stuff in it. Would just need new head and legs.

Clement is nicely built, yes! That could work! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

Ah, Clement it is then! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

Piece of cake!

<span style='font-size:8pt;line-height:100%'>*mutters something about never mind me having to make the cake first*</span>

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" /> Just kidding! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile2.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":))" border="0" alt="smile2.gif" /> Should not be a problem. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />

FYI: stumbled across a new biography of Drake today: "Drake" by Stephen Coote, Pocket Books, (NZ$34.95).

(not a naval historian, but an historian, nevertheless.)
