Peter Blood : The Beginning

Stone-D

Okay, I got the game yesterday and after lots and lots of running around, managed to get the three co-slave quests done, but now I've got some Whacker quest and and Arms quest left. The Whacker quest I assume will continue once the Arms quest is done... but there's the kicker. I found some spanish dude asking about weapons. I then blundered into a guard who I told about the encounter. He promptly runs off to the house, and gets killed. The quest log now says I should go "back".

Back where? I haven't the foggiest how to proceed from here. Assist me mateys!

I've run around all over the damned island (getting some serious deja vu from PotC... or was it AOP? Been a while), killed a random skeleton with a knife in a mine, found the fort... nada. I can't even sell loot.

The translation / plot writing is attrocious. Should I give up and play regular, avoiding this storyline?

After 48 hours (ok, I slept, went to work and came back, but still...) I still haven't even got a ship / been on water yet!!!

If you are ready to escape from Barbados, you must return to the plantation and save Jeremy Pitt
-----
I think that is not correctly understood the question.

peter blood is awful for your first play through imo, tho in the character description it even says it is for veteran players or something.

should try the corsair for your first time, you have a ship to start and your not locked into anything. but yea the quests should give more leads, or point you in a less vague direction, even in the other characters you will have quests that give you little or no info and either have to muddle along or forget em do something else. still aside from that i enjoy the game i get frustrated with a quest i go pillage.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh. I'd been in there, searched the dead guard's body, and gone into the OTHER room, not noticing the one just up the stairs. I knew there was a reason I didn't like 3rd person much.

Cerberus: I've seen suggestions to that effect elsewhere, but opposite comments too... as Peter Blood you start with way more, apparently. Anyway, I'm not a quitter (much) so I'll keep going unless things get ridiculous. I'm already planning to mod away the ridiculous officer prices if I deem it necessary.

You can switch to first person with the tab key. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="wink.gif" />

What ridiculous officer prices? I'm paying about 2k per month to even my most expensive guy.

Dunno, I'd just read about such prices.

I know what happened now. I actually followed that soldier into the house and got the log update when I was already in the house. So the reference to "go back" threw me, lol.

Anyway, cheers for the assist guys.

You get ridiculous officer prices when you have a ship larger than you can handle, since then you have stat penalties affecting your skills, which in turn affect the prices you pay for stuff.

I brought the weapons to the armorer, but i need 1000 plasters and i don't have them(don't know why, also i took preston's money and paid a debt of some slave)

where can i find some money? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

and what guard are u talkin about ?

it's worth to enter the cave?

thanks.

oh heck ya the cave is good stuff, bit of a spoiler.

<span style='color:#000000;background:#000000'>in the caves are undead but you must find the "shimmery portal" walk into it to trigger the undead spawns. they will drop some idols and jewelry and stuff a lot of time, really good loot to gather up and sell or use. </span>

all that said save a lot cause it can be very very hard in there, you will get multiple mobs at a time sometimes, and they have poisoned blades to boot.

the guard i think they are refering to is the guard that you run into on the street that is going to go investigate that house because there is a disturbance, part of that spanish spy line, lest i think he was a spy i gave up on the peter blood career lol.

bad post

Cunning and observation. The advanced player can kill Spaniards alone, level impossible as well. Save Pitt and Ogl, for the beginning they are good navigator and gunner.

Really? How? I had a hell of a time on Captain just keeping everyone alive.

Ability to fencing, parry, false attack (fake). The player must use all the features of fencing. Help healing potions and a good sword, if you are lucky you can find a Spanish rapier. Battle one-on-one at the bulwark, and platform.

Yeah, that's what I was afraid you'd say. I was hoping there was a trick. I guess I suck at fencing, then.
Spanish rapier? I don't belive I've seen that in the game yet at all. <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/laugh.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="xD:" border="0" alt="laugh.gif" />

Good light weapons. I too have not found it in Bridgetown. I only heard that it can be found. Probably to remove from the Spanish officer in city. Later the rapier will have shopkeepers.

I've killed a whole bunch of Spaniards and none of them dropped it. The first one you bump into when you go into the city always drops a cavalier saber, a long-barrelled pistol, and a hundred bullets, though.

Fellows, I have a major problem. Im in begining with Blood, kill every Englishman in plantation, and all Spaniards in City, but I cant find my crew to continue escape (slaves, friends or what ever...). So i swim and board ship by myself, <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/duel_pa.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":ixi" border="0" alt="duel_pa.gif" /> but spain soliders are invincible. Dont hurt em a bitt.

Now a question: where to find my gang and how to defeat spanish crew on the ship.

P.S. I have bounty on my head by England, but dont know why <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />

you can get your crew inside of the shipyard but you need to swim to get inside...
you get the bounty from the English soldiers that you have killed <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" /> <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/buds.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":drunk" border="0" alt="buds.gif" />

Now is time for blades to do the talk...
Cheers mate!!!

Not again... I manage to sell Frigate for 81000 (swap ship with some Ian gay, then sell it), but when I finish transaction, it wrote: you gain 81000, then: Busy 81000 and I dont have bloody 81000 in inventory...
Any ideas? <img src="style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/dunno.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":shrug" border="0" alt="dunno.gif" />
