I'm not sure if I've broken any quests but I'm playing as Ian Stance and used to have Peter Blood as a companion.
I fired him as he was only level 14 and didn't seem to be improving.
I met up with him again in a tavern and ended up killing him in a duel.
I got over 100,000 piasters from him. Anyone know if he's needed later in the game.
 
All the characters show up in the game as possible companions.. it shouldnt have any impact on your game if you kill one.
