has anyone here aver heard of pirate metal, if so, i'm looking for a list of bands, besides alestorm, as i already know of them, thanks in advance

Well, I know two bands:
- Silverbones (Zakas/Stephenson) created five part "story": "Water Witch", "Terror of the Sea", "Row", "Wreckage" & "Washed Ashore", check this page.
- german Running Wild produced couple of albums (i.e. "Under Jolly Roger", "The Port Royal" & "Treasure Island" to enumerate few).
