Pirates crashes allways on my acer travelmate 290

i have a big problem with playing pirates on my laptop! It allways crashes by entering an harbour. i have nearly tryed everthing !!! I NEED HELP, I NEED TO PLAY IT !!!!!!
Is there anybody out there who can help me?

My crystal ball's under repair. Care to give us some information about your system like OS, hardware, state of drivers (hopefully updated) and DirectX, that kind of thing?

Turn all graphic options to max, then it works. I had the same problem on my Acer 290 and now the game is running (a little slow and with some graphic problems sometimes, but the gameplay is still very good)!

I have turned all grafic detail on and to max, it doesent work..always by entering an harbour the game crushes...
