Pirates! Fansite Pack question

CatalinaThePirate

Unholy Terror,
Storm Modder
So I finally got DSL and downloaded the Pirates Fansite Pack and I had a question...

In the license agreement it says:

<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->2. PROHIBITIONS. You may not alter any of ATARI' trademarks or logos, or alter or remove any of the trademark or copyright notices included in the Materials. Your right to use Materials is limited to the license grant above, and you may not otherwise copy, display, perform, publish, or use any of the Materials. You may not modify, reverse engineer, disassemble, create derivative works from, license, transfer, distribute, or sell any Materials, or use the Materials to further any commercial or unlawful purpose.<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd--><img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> Does this mean I can't take the images provided (say a screenshot) and make a neat graphic from it for my fansite? That all images need to remain in the form (size, &tc) they were given to me? I can't make thumbnail shots for the screenshots or art?

I'd just like a bit of clarification here, please.

Also, just curious, what is the font that was used for the Pirates! logo?

Thanks... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />

Cat -

You can hack the images up all you want. However, you can not sell them, or modify the Atari logo, Pirates logo or copyrights pertaining to each piece. So what's the safest way to go about this on your website?"

"Atari logo, Pirates! logo, and images property of Atari ..."

The lingo pretty much states that as long as you credit ATARI, all is well. So have fun Cat.

Ummm, I dunno...

That's what I was concerned with. It looks to ME like I can't modify or create derivative works from ANY of the Materials. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />

I dunno why I'm asking, I probably don't have time to do THIS, either! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/rolleyes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid="" border="0" alt="rolleyes.gif" /> But it would be fun... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_mrgreen1.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheeky" border="0" alt="icon_mrgreen1.gif" />
