thats what I found all we have to do is retexture it to POTC's graphical style

You'll also need to get permission from the modeler, I should think. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/icon_wink.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=";)" border="0" alt="icon_wink.gif" />

Always better to ask, Capitan. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />
I know it's on TS for free, but that doesn't mean the artist has no rights over it.

Heck, he/she will probably just be happy to see it used; and for that reason alone it's worth emailing them, so they can see what good you're doing with it. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

I know that if it was mine, I'd SURE be curious to see how others might use it! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> I just made attempt to texture the trireme but it didn't work very well

Nice Idea...

Just a small Historical Note:

<!--quoteo--><div class='quotetop'>QUOTE</div><div class='quotemain'><!--quotec-->Cannonballs = Boulders
Grapes = Pebbles
Chains = going to delete 'em
Bombs = Greek Fire<!--QuoteEnd--></div><!--QuoteEEnd-->

Greek Fire is actually a Medieval Invention, not a Classical one.

It was used by Greek Byzantine Ships to defend Constantinopole against Invading Seljuk Turkish forces, and later on Ottoman forces too.

In the time period you are planing this to be however, Catapults and Onagers would use Incendiary ammunition as well as Stone.

In that Classical period, Greeks were known by their invention of Triremes...which the Romans later upgrades to Quinquiremes, the "Man O War" of sorts in that period.

<img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

Also....more history. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/bookish.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":mm" border="0" alt="bookish.gif" /> In classical times naval battles involved mostly ramming with marines firing arrows and throwing javalins. When ships locked hand to hand fighting won the day. Ancient ships rarely sank and most were salvaged by the victors.
