So I "mixed" these sounds very carefully (I think). The idea was of course to have all different sounds.
Now someone had to be there and exchange two of them to one sound and a more dull one. I have taken a lot of criticism for what is bad. This wasn´t. Sometimes there is a nice polite conversation here like "do you mind if I ..." Not this time. Or let me put it his way: Why don´t you do your own pistol sound mod?

I just went through all the updates from Build 12.1 full through the June 18 update and could find no changes to initItems.c where the sounds are set up. But I did notice that a couple of the sound files were included in a later update, which is probably what caused the issue you describe. It's likely that this was accidental.

Sometimes there's a nice polite converstion here like "Did you change the pistol sounds on purpose?"

Sorry, Jack. I think you did an excellent job with the pistol sounds.
