Plot Question

After killing the pirate king, does anything remain of the plot? I've been sailing around sinking ships and capturing towns, and so far nothing has happened. I own most of the western Caribbean at this point, and it's getting boring. My frigate can sink two ships of the line, or any number of merchant vessels. With three galleons full of soldiers and sailors I can take towns with minor effort (but much boredom, as I'm now out of money from building up these colonies).

Does anything happen from this point? Or is it just an exercise in sinking ships, taking colonies, managing colonies, and not going broke until you control the entire Caribbean?

From what I've read over at the Playlogic forum after to take over all the other towns that about it, But I could be wrong.

No, I doubt you're wrong. It fits with the rest of this game: they didn't finish the plot, either.

After ye capture ALL towns, an end-of-game movie runs, followed by de credits rollin', an' finally yer character be left standin' on de streets o' de last town ye captured!
