Pls I need help

Never encountered that one, except possibly when I had the wrong one of my two CDs in the drive... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" />

I only know of one solution - install Build 12! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" />

If you do that, you not only get a much better game, but you will also no longer need the CD to play. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/me.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="me.gif" />

I can highly recommend the Build. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> It makes playing the game so much better as it not only fixes many bugs, but also adds so much new thigns to do and all!

Edit: Oh, and make sure you install to the right place - there is a mistake in the path of the default install!
 
I AM JUST FOR ASK THAT THE GAME IS INSTALLED IN PROGRAM FILES BUT WERE I HAVE TO INSTALL THE BUILD 12
iN THE SAME FOLDER?

You know the thing that sais engine I try to put it to work and it sais that it can't and when I try to play the game I cannot because of CD problem
 
Build 12 includes a no-CD crack, so if you install that, it <i>should</i> work without CD troubles. Does that work? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
Uh? I don't understand what you're trying to say. The file ENGINE.exe is the main game file, but I reckon the no-CD crack also needs a changed XINTERFACE.dll file. Just install the Build 12 file on top of your PotC installation and you should be fine. I hope... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
Hello Excuse me: Only one more problem.

I did all you tell me and I tried to run the ENGINE FOLDER but it sais that a uncommon problem appeared .So I went to the RunMe Folder and it sais that i dont have the files localized .Do you have a solution for this last problem ?(I Hope)
 
Only thing that could be wrong is that it somehow isn't installed right. Either that, or something's wrong with your computer. I know PotC only worked for me after I reinstalled the entire PC... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" />
 
Oh, after installing the Build, make sure you run the <b>RunMe.bat</b> that resides in the PotC folder (where Engine.exe is). This will remove any localised setups. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

Now I have to install the CDoriginal in this folder or leave it like now and try to find how to configure?

Eh, you should unzip the PotCMods into wherever Pirates of the Caribbean resides...

<b>First</b>, install Pirates of the Caribbean. If possible, use the default (don't change the path). You need this to run the game at all.
<span style='color:red'>The default is <b>C:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Pirates of the Caribbean\</b> I believe, so that is where you need to unzip <i>both</i> the Build and the PotCMods, or it will not work.</span>

<b>Second</b>, install the full Build 12 into the <i>same</i> folder, the one that you used above - browse for it! And just to be sure, run <b>RunMe.bat</b> that you will find in the Pirates of the Caribbean (PotC) folder.

<b>Third</b>, if you want to use it, install Pieter's PotCMods.zip (beware bugs, though, heheh)!


Make certain you use the same folder for all this - PotCMods all by itself will not run at all. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/no.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":no" border="0" alt="no.gif" />
 
I hate to interrupt this and ask what might be a silly question, but lecop, did you try the other CD in the drive when it said you had the wrong CD?

Also some systems will not recognize that the game is installed unless you remove the installation CD and re-boot. After you do that, put the first CD into your drive, and let it auto-load. If it does not, click on the icon. It <i>SHOULD</i> work... <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/yes.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":yes" border="0" alt="yes.gif" /> <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/par-ty.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":cheers" border="0" alt="par-ty.gif" />
