WTG JMV! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" /> I love it!

good job ! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

yeah....great work again!
but my favorite are still ur spanish uniforms (even if u had no influence on the origin making of them in the 19th century. have u ??? <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/unsure.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":?" border="0" alt="unsure.gif" /> )
i love the combination of red, yellow and blue...

I'm sorry, I don't quite understand what you are asking, DeBruce.

Yes, that is what the Spanish Lancers in New Spain wore around `1802-1821`.
The Naval uniforms are a little earlier, more like the late 1700's.

sorry - the old problem here. i always try to make some joke and noone laugh because noone understand me *cry*

well - ill "kill" the joke if i try to explain but heres the explanation:

i said i love ur historical uniforms of the spanish officers although i know that they are based on what they really looked like and u had no influence on that.
the "joke" was that i suggest, that u HAD influnce on what the looked like (maybe u were there in the 18th/19th century).....

u see - it isnt funny any more (maybe it wasnt that funny at all)

ill promise: i wont make joke any more .....

Ah, but he did the skinning, which is work and influence enough. <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/smile.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":)" border="0" alt="smile.gif" />

sure - but he had only influence on "how good they are transfered from the sources, he uesed to the game" (and that he did quite well)

well - now i see noone understande my kind of humor (maybe due to my poor english or something like that)

Very nice, JMV! <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/onya.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":onya" border="0" alt="onya.gif" />

Its 11:41 CDT. I know I won't get these in for the deadline. Sorry mates. I'll make sure its 100% compatible, and a very easy install.

@ JMV
u got ur `dutch-uniforms`? if not: try to get the movie "Captain Horatio Hornblower" - there are some dutch navy uniforms.

Interesting. I've read three acounts. One has Dutch Naval officers wearing light blue coats and facings similar to the Royal Navy. Another has them wearing black(unlikely) and another has them wearing uniforms similar to the French but with traditional dutch piping and facings. I'm definitely having troulbe with the naval uniforms. If you can describe what they look like in the film I would be in your debt.

The Soldiers are done. I'll post a screen when I get a chance.

I need to work on the faces, I know. This is just the corsair1_1.

Anyway, this uniform is of a West Indies Jager... exactly what the Napoloenic Dutch would have worn in the Caribbean.

As well as I like those skins, I want to know if the old one will still be used in the next build? It's simply because I like the more 17th century one too, and maybe we can think of a possibility to use the two one, even if it's not really historical? As well as the gun and sword if skins come from the late 18th or beginning of 19th anyway...

Anyway... does anybody are doing some 17th century skins?

Once I finish these my next project is to do the 17th century. I don't know if other people are working on similar projects.

Someone smarter than I would need to come up with an option in Buildsettings.h where it says what time period to load. At least, that's my ulitimate hope.

Best,

JMV

to describe it is very hard..... hmm... i can try to make some screenshoots of the film and mail it. all i need is your email.

post it as a pic here. Go to <a href="http://www.thelib.com/gallery/index.php" target="_blank">http://www.thelib.com/gallery/index.php</a> and click on upload pic on the top. Uload it to "visitor's shoe box." Then get the web address of where is stored and post it here with the image tags around it. That way we can all see it.

this one shows 3 ranks of the dutch `navy-uniforms` (but dont know if they historical correct) form the movie:
<a href="http://www.thelib.com/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=1666" target="_blank">http://www.thelib.com/gallery/displayimage...ge.php?pid=1666</a>

and heres one of a french commander called "Oberst" in the movie, so it would be a "Colonel" (dont know if its from the army, navy, airforce <img src="http://www.piratesahoy.com/forum/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/mybad.gif" style="vertical-align:middle" emoid=":facepalm" border="0" alt="mybad.gif" /> or what ever):
