Possible bug

After I'm ordered to sail to Kingston, a french fleet attacked me. I captured one of their ships and orders Simpson to command. However I get CTD whenever I try to dock at Kingston.

This is not a bug.
Simpson needs to be present with you.
He is an important part of the storyline.
About the french fleet... try to change your flag(at sea when there is no sigh of land) to personal flag. The the french won't have any reason to attack you.

It's kind of a glitch not to be able to capture a ship... I really wanted to sell it though, the inner merchant is killing me

I seem to remember it being a bit buggy there, as I had to do it 2 or 3 times before it worked. Your mission is to escort the big ship. Don't get too shot up and don't sink or capture anything yourself. Keep doing it until it works.

Remember you are in the Navy ( in this story ) and are supposed to obey orders

( that means follow the story line )

Yeah Talisman is right... You are in the king's navy... obey or get flogged/die

If you try a few times and it doesn't work then load an older save and try again. If you have an opportunity, flog Simspson haha.. :ixi

and make sure you have run the Rename.bat file in the PotC folder
